These terms and conditions apply to all transactions on the Doorbell World website and your placing of an order indicates that you accept them. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference.

To order goods through this website, you must be at least 18 years of age. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.


Product information

All product specifications, images and other information published on our website have either been made accessible by suppliers, manufacturers, publications, publicists, or have been obtained from sources in the public domain. Doorbell World intention is that all such information and images on the website should be as accurate and up to date as possible. However, Doorbell World cannot guarantee the reliability or the accuracy of the information contained within its pages and its purpose is to give an approximate description of the goods. Full specifications and other details are available from the manufacturers websites or brochures

Product images are shown for guidance only. Cabinet or case colours may vary and remote control units shown may differ from those supplied. Some products may require set-up and/or assembly. 



Prices quoted are subject to stock availability. No contract exists until we have accepted your order. In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in price information received from our suppliers, we will not process your order and will instead alert you as soon as is practicable to the actual price of the goods. You will then have the option to proceed at this updated price. We will only process any such order with your explicit authority.



There is a delivery charge according to the product purchased. Delivery charges vary depending on product type, physical size, delivery location and delivery service. Delivery costs are clearly shown at the ordering stage.

Our standard delivery service includes delivery Monday to Friday on the British Mainland. The British Mainland does not include Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or the Isle of Wight. This is due to the extra cost and time involved in delivering to those addresses.

Delivery of Doorbell World products (stock items) will normally be made within 2-3 working days from clearance of payment. Some items may be delivered direct from the manufacturers and may take up to 5-7 working days from clearance of payment. We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated but goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery of goods is sometimes outside our control. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods. If we or our suppliers are temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of this position and you should allow up to 14 days for dispatch of the goods. For delays of more than 14 days, you will have the right to cancel the order and we will refund any money paid by you for the goods.


Payment and acceptance of order

Payment is taken at the time you place your order. We accept payment by PayPal,  Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Solo, Switch and Visa Electron credit cards and debit cards including Switch and you must be the cardholder if you are placing an order. Your contact details should correspond exactly with your billing address and telephone number, that is the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received. In the event that we may accept any payment by cheque, we can only dispatch the goods after payment has been cleared, which can take at least 10 days.

Neither your payment nor our acknowledgement of your order constitutes acceptance of the order. Acceptance of your order takes place on shipment from our own or our suppliers’ warehouse, at which point the contract is made.



All products are covered by a minimum 12 month warranty. Some manufacturers offer longer warranty periods. Manufacturer warranties beyond 12 months are supported by manufacturer only, and not by DoorbellWorld. Where a warranty request is required from the manufacturer we will supply copies of the original invoice as a supporting document. If you have spoken to a member of our staff and have agreed on an item being sent back for a replacement, we do not send out items until the original product has been delivered back to us.

Please ensure you include your name, order number and reason for return. This way the returns team will know what  to do with the package when it arrives back to us. We suggest you do not dispatch goods without first contacting us by telephone (tel: 01629 831000). The reasons for this are:

  • Past experience has shown that apparently faulty goods have sometimes been set up incorrectly, or the instructions have not been as comprehensive as they should be. In these situations the quickest solution to getting the equipment working correctly is for us to give you further advice to avoid incurring unnecessary delivery charges if we are able to resolve the problem.
  • We can advise you on the most appropriate method of returning the goods.
  • Defective goods under 30 days old will be returned to us at our expense provided you have discussed with us first on the method of return. We will supply you with a FREEPOST address label.

The returned package should contain your name, address, your invoice number, details of the fault. All items returned back to us will be thoroughly checked to see what the fault is, and if it can be resolved. 

In most cases, where the product is found to have a valid fault, the warranty permits complete replacement of the defective item free of charge. However, some manufacturers require that the product is returned to them for repair, or that the repair is carried out by ourselves once the defective components have been supplied by the manufacturer. In these cases the repair under warranty, free of charge, will take longer.

NB: Note that DoorbellWorld cannot be held liable for any consequential costs incurred as a direct result of the faulty goods.

Any complaints regarding the goods or services supplied should be made by email to Complaints will normally be responded to within one working day.


Your Right to Cancel

If you decide you do not want the goods, for any reason, they may be returned within 30 days of receipt (at your own expense) for a full refund. There will be  an admin fee of £1.99 for any orders under £50. Any orders between £50 - £100, there will be a £2.99 admin fee. For returns on orders over £100, there will be a £3.99 admin fee. This also applies to any items ordered by accident.

Prior to dispatching goods for return, we ask that you contact us by telephone (tel: 01629 831000) to facilitate the process. The returned package should also contain your name and order number. Please also put a note in the returned package to indicate whether the item is faulty, or just not required.

Goods returned must be in the original condition in which they were supplied and include all items of the product and its packaging. Where the packaging needs to be destroyed to open, we accept return without the external package, however, when the package is a box, and can easily be opened without damage, then we expect the goods to be returned with the box in a new condition.

NB: Until received, the goods remain your property and we recommend suitable packaging and an appropriate level of insurance for their return.

All goods and packaging will be checked carefully and the refund processed as soon as possible. Notification of your refund will be sent by Email.
